This seminar introduces artistic and technical strategies for creating interactive media installations. Students will explore how light, visuals, sound, and interactivity transform space and shape audience perception. The course combines conceptual development with practical inputs, including motion sensors, live cameras, light controllers, live performance software, and sound systems, emphasizing creative approaches to space and public engagement. Students will complement work on visual research, sketches, diagrams, and site-specific explorations to develop original artistic ideas. The seminar is open to all HfG students and awards credits in Media Art, concluding with an interactive installation project developed individually or in groups, that may be presented at the Rundgang.
